Together with the Grove Consultants International, Ms. Crowley has been instrumental in promoting the field of graphic facilitation, and in establishing the use of communication design techniques in corporations, non-profits and government agencies. Graphic facilitation is not only a creative and engaging way to work with groups, but it is also a highly efficient way of moving groups forward while creating a visual record of their meetings and processes. Ms. Crowley has extensive experience in meeting planning and conference design, and has been helping to train others in the art of facilitation, graphic recording, and communication design since 1994. She has worked internationally with a broad range of clients that includes General Motors, the United States Navy, Novozymes, Hewlett Packard, the National Institutes for Health, and the New England Healthcare Institute. Ms. Crowley holds a BA in Education and English from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island (USA). She spent four years with the United States Peace Corps in Jamaica, West Indies where she worked as a volunteer coordinator and a trainer for health sector volunteers. Ms. Crowley is a founding partner and frequent contributor at Strategy Arts and also runs her own consulting practice, Crowley and Company, in Washington, DC. Additionally she is an associate staff member of the Center for Evidence-Based Education in Princeton, New Jersey.
