BIO
Doug provides support for Strategy Arts in the area of finance, which includes: (1) linking strategic plans to capital resources and operational budgets; (2) client acquisitions; and (3) client financing. Because most of his experience has been driving change inside fast-growing organizations, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience with practical, real-world solutions that address issues systematically, rather than on a one-time basis. These systems allow the organization’s top management to anticipate financial difficulties and take corrective action to avoid them before they develop into major problems. He has raised over $95 million in equity, and over $750 million in debt financing. As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Principal Financial Adviser for more than 60 acquisitions with a cumulative enterprise value in excess of $1.5 billion, he has particular expertise positioning, negotiating, and integrating acquisitions.
He is very experienced working with family businesses.
During the last 28 years Doug has served as President, Fountainhead Services, LLC (Strategic Financial Consulting); President, Pioneer Capital L.P. (Family Office/Venture Capital); Chief Financial Officer, Pierce Leahy Corp. (58 acquisitions, took company public NYSE, sold company); Executive Financial Advisor, Rockwell International Rocketdyne Division (including Project Manager, Total Quality Management); In Charge, Accountant Deloitte Touche CPA’s. He also served on the Board of Directors for a NYSE-listed company from original listing until sale, and qualifies as a Financial Expert.
Doug graduated from Bucknell University (BSBA Accounting); Wharton Business School (MBA: Finance & Corporate Policy); and became a CPA in Pennsylvania and California.
