BIO
Ray is a highly experienced process and operations improvement consultant with Strategy Arts. He brings to all of his engagements a deep understanding of both the technical and organizational dynamics of an operation, an essential combination to ensure sustainable improvement. His more than 20 years consulting experience has been across a broad range of service and manufacturing industries, government agencies, and the private sector. He has worked in organizations as diverse as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, retail food, federal and local government, hospitals, financial services, photovoltaics, construction, and many more. Ray has designed and implemented solutions to client problems at over 40 companies in more than 200 locations coast-to-coast, in Puerto Rico, Canada, and Europe.
Ray brings extensive expertise in the areas of process redesign and improvement, leadership development, Six Sigma, operational excellence, change management, and facilitation. He has coached hundreds of teams and team leaders to realize significantly improved effectiveness; he has created employee empowering leadership paradigms in dozens of organizations; and he has designed and led hundreds of training classes and workshops in problem solving, communications, Six Sigma, statistical process control, leadership, change management, and facilitation. It was quite common for Ray’s projects to achieve an ROI of 10 to 20 X.
During the course of Ray’s career he has held positions of significant operational and fiscal responsibility including Vice President, Chief Consulting Officer and Practice Director. For many years, he served as Corporate Director of Process and Organizational Effectiveness, leading an experienced and highly-credentialed team of process engineers, statisticians, Six Sigma experts, and organizational development professionals. Ray has written numerous articles and delivered conference presentations on process excellence, multi-variate analysis, Six Sigma, organizational transformation, and innovation.
Ray holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA in Marketing from Temple University. In addition to his consulting focus, Ray is Board Chair for Triskeles, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is two-fold: to give young people the skills to live healthy and socially responsible lives, and to promote socially responsible charitable giving. He is also a long-distance bicycle rider, an amateur photographer, and a frequent overseas traveler.
